Welcome to Computer Basics Academy (the "App"), developed by Hatisoft ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in a "Privacy-by-Design" approach. Because our App is designed to function completely offline, we collect very limited information:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do NOT collect any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
  • Local Application Progress: Your quiz scores, chapter progress, and streak statistics are stored strictly on your local device. We do not transmit or store this data on external servers.
  • Certificate Generation: When you complete the certification course and enter your name, this data is processed purely in-memory on your device to draw and export the certificate image. It is never sent to us.

2. Third-Party Services and Advertisements

We integrate the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK to serve advertisements in the App. To do this, Google may collect and process specific identifiers for advertising and analytical purposes:

  • Device Identifiers: Mobile advertising ID (e.g., Android Advertising ID), IP address, and browser/device metadata.
  • App Performance Logs: Anonymized crash logs and diagnostics to check advertising integration health.

Google may use this information to customize advertisements based on your usage history. You can manage your ad personalization settings in your Android system settings under Settings > Google > Ads.

3. Data Security

All sensitive information, such as your completed exam status, is protected using industry-standard AES-256 encryption on your device via the Android Keystore. However, since the App operates locally, you are responsible for maintaining the physical security of your mobile device.

4. Children's Privacy

Our App is an educational utility suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has entered personal details, please contact us.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
